I don't know when my last post was but I have been MIA because I have been sick with this bad cold made even worse by pollen allergies. But I am here, feeling better and ready to craft, bake and blog about the stuff that comes out of my craft room and my kitchen. :) Got lots planned, and you will see them all here and A Spoonful of Happy. :)

I Should be Doing Something Else... But I am writing this Instead
I have two blog posts in the drafts folder waiting to be finished and published... but here I am writing about something totally different. It has been a beautiful day, and I have been so distracted by how pretty it's been and the overflow of food around here.
Today has been awesome, it actually felt like spring! I was able to open my windows, the hubs grilled, and it was just fun being able to drive with the windows down and the sun roof up... even Iddy [my dog] got to ride with me to the grocery store and it was great to be able to hang out outside with flip flops on.
| This is a photo of a magnolia bush/tree in my backyard. Love how the blooms have come up after the big snow the past weekend and very low temperatures all week. |

My Craft Space
This post is a reply to Kristina Werner's blog post tonight titled: 90% of Real Crafters Make Real Messes. I totally agree with her so I made a blog response! I will let the photos do most of the talking. :)
| This mess is the reason why the slat boards went up!!! But even with them up, my craft desk is still messy. |
And that's just my craft desk, I haven't posted pics of what's going on in the shelves and drawers underneath, across from it, and behind it. lol But I am not ashamed of it. The only reason I clean up is so I can make more messes. My desk never stays looking nice... Well for at least 5 minutes right after I clean it then soon as my mojo comes back, it turns into a war zone just like it shows on the picture.
If you like, you can send me or her links to your messes too! :) I sure enjoyed sharing mine!
Cheers to all of us crafters! :)

You're Special
Here's a clean and simple card I worked on this week. I saw a tutorial on these cute 3D-ish beach balls/lunar lights somewhere and I couldn't remember where I saw it or who did it. It may have been Paper Crafts but I could be wrong. So please if there is anyone who knows or have seen the tutorial please place a link in the comments so I can give credit to that blog. I don't even remember what these things are really called!
These 3D embellishments are so fun to make and I made them with scraps too!!! I think I used 4 1.25 inch circles that I cut with my Cricut and adhered them together just like the tutorial showed. The smaller ones are made out of 1 inch circles. :)
Hope this inspired you to make something today!
Happy Crafting!!! Have a lovely Tuesday!

Just Because...
As promised, here's the post for one of the fifteen, yes, fifteen cards I made out Hero Arts' My Type cling stamp set. I think at this point, most of the stamp sets I own are from Hero Arts and American Crafts. And then I would randomly pick up "on clearance" stamps once in a while. I have a few other favorite brands... I love technique Tuesday stamps, some Inkadinkado, and some Basic Grey.
But today (instead of tomorrow) I will share with you a card I made from a new cling set I got on Saturday... I made 15 cards with this old school typewriter stamp using different sentiments from different Hero Arts stamp sets I have. It is sooo fun. One of the cards will be on its way to Casper, Wyoming to my Grandpa Bruce for his birthday.
